Yes……..SUMMER 😊
How long have you been working in events?
10 years
What does your role involve?
My role involves anything to do with the start-finish area, entertainment, vendors, prizegiving’s etc.
I am involved with the promotion in schools and trying to get more kids to participate in our events.
Part of my role is also the design and ordering of things like merchandise, medals, bib numbers, and awards.
I also have fun doing the nitty-gritty with creating events and entry pages in the back end of the registration system.
Why events?
Events is something I am very passionate about and always found interesting, there are always new and innovative ideas on how to run events and how to make current events better.
The most rewarding thing about working in events is seeing people take on challenges and completing goals.
I love working in a team environment and working with new groups and meeting new people

How long have you been working in events?
I’m still considered a rookie and I started working in events in January 2021
What does your role involve?
As an on-course events coordinator my role includes organising anything between the start and finish areas to help make the event as safe as possible for our participants and the public, this includes but not limited to, booking land and spaces for events, liaising with traffic management companies and councils, and recruiting and managing the awesome volunteers that help encourage and direct our participants on event day.
Why events?
As I had participated in events and thoroughly enjoyed it, I took the role to have the opportunity to help facilitate something to enable others to set goals and become active and ultimately get amongst it and enjoy the atmosphere that the events provide.
