FAQs

The Sport Northland Events Team receives many emails a day asking similar questions. Please read the FAQs below to find the answer to your question. If you can't find it here, email us and we will be happy to help. 

Where do I pick up my bib number from?

Each event will have bib collection details on their website.
 

Can I get my bib number posted to me?

No, we don’t offer this service any longer.
 

I changed my distance. Will I keep the same bib number?
No. Once you change distances your race number will change as well. If you have changed distances after the bib numbers were ordered, your bib won’t be personalised.

 

Can someone pick up my bib number for me?

Yes, they will need the name you were registered under or your bib number.
 

Can I pick up a bib number for someone else?
Yes, but we do ask to please notify the person you are picking the bib number for. It happens very often people picking up for family/friends while they are picking theirs up, and then the respective person comes to pick up the bib number as they were not aware of the situation.

 

I am no longer able to attend the event, can I get a refund?
Each event has its own refund structure, this is based on the launch day and event day. Based on how long before the event you contact us, what you are entitled to.

Options for refunds are 75%, 50% and 25% refund. We never, under no circumstance offer 100% refund.

  • Once the structure reaches 0% refund, these are the reasons why we will make an exception and issue a 50% discount.

    • Unexpected medical problems – We will require a medical certificate.

    • Injury – This will be depending on the injury and will be assessed by the team. We will also require a medical certificate.

  • Once the structure reaches 0% refund these are some of the reasons why we will not make any exceptions

    • Change of mind

    • Double booked

    • Your friend/family who was running with you is now unavailable.

    • Coming out of sickness and had no time to train

    • Couldn’t organise babysitter

    • Flight/transport got delayed or cancelled
       

Can I transfer my entry to another event?
No.

 

Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
Yes. When you go to your Raceroster dashboard you will find this option. The new person will have to register and fill in the form. There is a $10 fee for this transaction which will be charged to the new person.

 

Can I transfer to another distance?
Yes. There is a $10 fee for every transfer. This can be done on your Raceroster dashboard. If you can’t do it, please email us.

Changing to a shorter distance: There is no refund on the price difference.

Changing to a longer distance: You will have to pay the difference to the current price.
 

Can I or my kids use a scooter/bike?
Only wheels accepted on course by participants are wheelchairs and prams. Each event has its own rules around this, based on the course. Please head to each events website to see more info.

 

Is there a cut off to enter your events?
Yes, 24hs before terrace start time.

 

Can I enter on the day?
No.  

 

What are the reasons why an event would be cancelled?
Act of God, terrorism, pandemic.

What happens to my entry if an event gets cancelled?
You will receive a 50% refund.

Can I enter a team?
Yes, you can. First participant gets to create a team. If you can’t do it, please email us and we can do it for you. Once this is done, we have different ways to add members to this team.

​

  1. Each participant registers and pays. When registering, there will be an option to add yourself to an already existing team.

  2. If you are a school or workplace, we can create a promo code for you. This way, everyone can register themselves using the promo code, and we can invoice the school/workplace after the event.

  3. You can email us requesting an upload spreadsheet for the event.  This way you will get to enter all participants details and check they are correct before sending it to us. We will then upload the participants to the website and we will invoice you after the event. This option is only available for schools and workplaces. Requirements for this option:​

  • Each question needs to be answered

  • If you are filling in the spreadsheet for someone else, you cannot use your details.

  • Emergency contact person can’t be participating on the race.

Do you do group discounts?

Yes, we do. This is only for clubs and organisations entering 10 or more people. Please email us and we can organise this for you.
